Philadelphia Parks and Recreation Citywide Comedy Competition

The Citywide Philly Parks and Recreation talent show is for young performing artists from 9 to 18 years of age.  Only single performers are permitted; no duets, trios or groups.   The awards include full scholarships to the Young Performer Theatre camp which occurs from July 1st through August 9th at the University of Pennsylvnia's Annenberg Center and/or Venice Island Performing Arts Recreation Center.

Audition pre-registration is available by completing and submitting the audition form below.     Note:   parent/guardian must accompany the performer at the audition and complete a written appication.   Any candidate chosen for the finals must submit a birth certificate; you can bring a birth certificate copy to the audition)        All successfully completed auditions will also serve as an approval audition for YPTC (Young Performers Theatre Camp.)  

Only one audition permitted for each candidate at any location around the city.  .  Age groups of the performers are from 9 to 12, 13-14, and 15 to 18 years old as of July 1, 2019.     Each candidate will be required to perform a stand-up, family appropriate comedy routine for consideration by our judges.    The judges will pick the finalists from the range of contestants, and their decisions, while subjective, are final.
